Rebecca Wells Phillips
Writing Through Truth, Healing Through Story

About
Rebecca Wells Phillips is an author in Asheville, North Carolina. An avid writer in a Tennessee high school, she waited to publish her first book, Hating Self (Boo Black), in November 2024. Her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and English from Carson-Newman University have fueled her penchant for sharing stories.
She gained momentum with her books, Loving Self, Butterfly Blossoms (Rachel Bleu), Hurricane Helene Resiliency After the Storm, and her short stories, Homeless Again and It’s Only a Dream. However, interviews with Helene victims have lit a fire. She is listed on the Marquis Who’s Who List for 2026 and regularly appears on podcasts.
Authenticity, depression, suicidal ideation, abuse, racism, discrimination, destruction, and loss appear in each of her works. Although these topics are deeply disturbing, she writes to uplift and to turn a bad situation into a positive outcome.
